[VKFWZP] Intermittent external network issues: Fri 17 April 2020

Progressing
2020-04-17 15:07:00 UTC

We have reports of intermittent network issues: some clients cannot connect to some sites from certain locations. This appears to be a wider UK-Internet problem beyond our network, as all Positive services are up as normal. We will update here.

[SDCHXE] Routing issues resolved

Concluded
2020-04-17 16:01:00 UTC

We have now configured the Positive routing infrastructure to bypass the erroneous routes manifested by the earlier external UK Internet problems.

Whilst Positive's network and infrastructure was always available throughout the incident window, some broadband and mobile providers had intermittent issues in connecting, because they were being given incorrect routes by external transit providers to Positive and other networks. Our reconfiguration now ensures that these issues should no longer be causing ongoing network interruption for any client

All connectivity issues specifically to Positive infrastructure should now be resolved. Of course, there may still be broader UK-wide Internet connectivity issues to sites beyond Positive's remit. Even so, please contact our support team and we will be glad to assist with anything.
